ODG was recently awarded a multi year contract producing shafts for Allison transmissions. This product required us to increase our length capability in cylindrical grinding. For the strict quality requirements and reduced cycle times we chose a proven technology.  

ODG has continued to grow despite a volatile economy. To support ongoing growth and our commitment to engaging the most current and innovative technology, we have successfully secured funding from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund, Rural Economic Development Program, and FedDev’s Investing in Business Growth and Productivity Program, for a total of over $4.3million that will be re-invested into our business.

We know in the manufacturing business, it is essential to invest in the latest equipment and invest in employee training, in order to stay competitive, and in turn prosper globally.  We need to be able to meet our customers needs and exceed their expectations in order to succeed and be productive for the long term.  When manufacturing business’ invest in machinery, we are in essence strengthening Canada’s future position for economic growth.  Our local economy is directly strengthened by employing and training local staff and as a result, a rise in the standard of living for the community and for Canada is established. We have seen a direct relationship between investment and productivity.
